It's the (fictional and non-canon) middle child between the recent 3000 and the classic and rugged 2000 (as seen in FO1 and 2). I really wanted to bring back a little more of the classic Fallout flavour to the new game, so I created the Pip-Boy 2500. While the Pip-Boy 3000 was great in it's own right in FO3, I was a little disappointed when my player character in New Vegas got an identical one strapped to his/her wrist. I decided it was time to make an official release thread for this thing.
